Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her parents were an aunt who worked as household worker and father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing at an early age and often performed show-like puppets in front of the children from her neighborhood. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was then contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick was hired to star in her debut major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. A year later, she starred for the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately cast in her role in the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over more than 1200 children to become one of the oldest twins on the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run on the program. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Here's the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't right.
