Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students and part-time work. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 as a member of the group called Dragons Playground. She quit the group shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's talent program New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. The band was where she got to know Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics.
